Nama Sushi is an authentic Japanese restaurant by Sushi Masa. They have outlets in Baywalk Mall Pluit, Living World Alam Sutra, Emporium Pluit Mall, and Mall Kota Kasablanka. For me, this is a restaurant that does it all. Great food, great ambiance and great price point.
Cawan Mushi (IDR 25k)
Nama Sushi’s Cawan Mushi is quite different from the others. Pleasantly soft and silky, a must try.
Gyoza (IDR 25k)
I wasn’t impressed by this one. I have tried many gyozas that taste better.
Croquette Potato (IDR 25k)
Japanese style hash brown 😀
Mix Carpachio (IDR 35k)
My personal favorite from Nama Sushi. I always order their mix carpachio whenever I visit. So, this is another must try.
Salmon Aburi Roll (IDR 120k)
Ika Sugata Yaki (IDR 50k)
Very simple grilled squid, a true authentic Japanese recipe.
LEFT : Salmon Aburi Sushi (IDR 15k / 2 pcs)
RIGHT : Mentai Salmon Aburi Sushi (IDR 25k / 2 pcs)
Both are awesome, do try them.
Zaru Soba (IDR 35k)
My staple Japanese dish. Another simple Japanese food that manage to warm my heart even when it’s literally a dish of cold noodles.
Sanma Shioyaki Set (IDR 50k)
My father’s favorite menu. If we go to a Japanese restaurant and they happen to have a sanma shioyaki on their menu, he would order it without thinking. So, it is safe to say that we have tried many sanma shioyaki dishes from many Japanese restaurants. This one from Nama Sushi is very special though, they serve it boneless. Sanma fish is a mackerel pike, so it has many very thin bones. You can imagine our relief when we found out that this one below is served boneless. We can really enjoy it without worrying if we got all the bones out. They grilled the mackerel perfectly, too.
If you love Japanese food and you have never tried Nama Sushi, I would definitely recommend this to you. As you can see from my photos, this restaurant is nicely decorated, it has the high class Japanese feel. But when you see the price of the food, it is quite reasonable. The experience of dining here itself is genuinely gratifying.
