In 1970s and 1980s, women who were working in business and politics wore clothes that helped them to acquire authority, respect and power at work and compete with men. Hence, the term power dressing was born. Today the expression power dressing is no more commonly used, but the style is still popular. Here is my take on the art of power dressing.
I ordered the dress and blazer from Rosegal during their Black Friday sale. Yes, ordered black outfit on Black Friday, sounds like cheesy things I would do. (If you would like to shop from the website, Enjoy 25% Discount with coupon: RGBF1)
My favourite item is the black dress, I really love how the dress stretches and hugs my body. It is a suitable and very comfortable dress to show off your body shape. My sister called it ‘the Kim K dress’ when she saw me wearing it. This dress is what power dressing means to me. It’s cozy and gives me a little boost of confidence (because of how much I love it looks on me).
PS : Merry Christmas to all, while there are a few days left to 2018, I hope we can all end this year on a positive note and I hope you’re all excited for what 2019 has in store for us all.
