The Many Uses of Vaseline

I’m sure most of us have use Vaseline or at least know about the product. It was first introduced in 1872 and have become one of the most favorite products until today. Can you believe that Vaseline has been around for almost 150 years??

This is NOT a sponsored post, but I personally get many benefits from using this product. If you waste much money on your beauty regime, you may want to read this post and save some money. 🙂 Allow me to share with you.

I religiously use Vaseline almost daily as :

  1. Lip Balm

Who doesn’t know that Vaseline is a miraculous lip soother?  I bet you know this! Ha! You can also rub it over our lips and use a toothbrush to gently scrub away dry skin.

2. Body Moisturizer

Beside using Vaseline to sooth my dry lips, I also apply it to the dry patches on my body such as around the elbows and knees. Vaseline is also a good solution to help soothe sunburn.

3. Eye and Face Cream

I read somewhere that Marilyn Monroe used to rub Vaseline all over her face and under the eye before bedtime. The fact that even Marilyn Monroe did it, is enough to make me do it, too.

4. Nail Gel

Vaseline jelly helps to soften the skin around our nails and prevent it from breaking and drying. It makes cuticles softer and smoother. Such a life savior for my messy cuticles!

5. Makeup Remover

Remember those hard times when you try to clean your eye makeup? Well, mascara and eyeliner glides away quite easily when you clean it with Vaseline and cotton. You can also use it as a general makeup remover for other parts of your face.

6. Substitute for Makeup

Beside cleansing your makeup, Vaseline can also be your makeup! How can you not love this product? I use it as a highlighter on my cheeks for glowing effect and for a mascara alternative. It works!

7. Making perfume scent last longer

I rub a thin layer of Vaseline to my pulse and then spray my perfume on it to make the scent last longer.

Some of my friends also use Vaseline when shaving to help the razor glide safely over the skin. Well, I hope you find this post helpful and let me know if you also have similar experiences with this humble product!

    1. Thank you, I’m glad you love this post! To answer your questions, yes Vaseline helps to make perfume last longer. It adds extra 1-2 hours for me. And for under eye areas, I use just a small amount of it to prevent it coming up to my eyes, and it won’t sting 🙂 Definitely will check your blog! xo
